This week's service is in Britton

If you show up at Faith UMC on Jay Street this Sunday, you are likely to find the building locked and the parking lot empty. That's because Faith families are caravanning (spell check doesn't like this word) to Britton to hold Sunday services at the Erickson house. Some members will gather at 9 a.m. in the church parking lot to arrange carpools. For more information, you can reach the Ericksons at (605) 448-2900 or (605) 290-5506

Regular services will resume next Sunday. We'll be observing World Communion Sunday on Oct. 7.

Coming Events and Important Notice

Sunday, Faith Sunday school for all ages starts at 9 a.m. The youth will meet at the church and then head out to Wylie Park to recreate Abraham's journey on foot.

At 10:30 a.m. Worship begins, and Pastor Jack's sermon is titled  "Act Nonchalant?"

         

Children's Sermon  by the church school will touch on Abraham and his faith journey.

Faith Musicians will provide special music.

On Wednesday, the prayer group meets from noon to 2 p.m. and on Friday, Methodist clergy meet at the Millstone at 8:30 a.m.

IMPORTANT If you come to the church next Sunday (Sept. 30), you will find it empty. That's because the whole church is caravan-ing  out to Jack and Kathy's place in Britton to hold services there.

TRIFLES AND TREASURES,  the all-church rummage sale, has been moved to Oct. 27, a Saturday.

Faith Musicians

These are some of Faith's musicians. Each Sunday, they mix their voices and instruments together for a unique blend of praise choruses, folk worship songs and old favorites, with an occasional newer piece or original work. To the right is Jon, the sound guru who mixes it all together.
