WELCOME!

Visitors are always welcome at Faith. Stop in and say hello! Worship starts at 10:30 am.

A little about Faith:
Years ago, the church was an Evangelical United Brethren Church. That denomination merged with the Methodist Church in 1968 (which is why there are two United Methodist churches in a 3-block area!)

Our pastor is Jack Erickson, who travels from Britton for services, with his wife Kathy. Jack attended Dakota Wesleyan and a seminary in Ohio. He brings years of insight, subtle humor and a great deal of patience to the pulpit.

We love music at Faith, and many different kinds of music. We always sing hymns during worship. You might also have a little jazz or classical from Faith Musicians, or some folk and Pete Seeger songs. Sometimes a contemporary number can be heard.

Seasoned musicians people the worship band. We've had Celtic tunes, harp solos, violin and viola duets, kids songs and original pieces. We've had saxophones and banjos. Bob Seaton is a regular with his guitar and lap steel.

We have a folksy, family atmosphere here and would love for you to join us for a Sunday, or long term.
Guests are always welcome!

Contact us

You can reach Pastor Jack at P.O. Box 35 Britton, SD 57430, or by phone: Home (605) 448-2900 or cell (605) 290-5506, or e-mail jack@venturecomm.net

Wesley hymn of the Month

Hark the Herald Angels Sing

Hark! The herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!”
Joyful, all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th’angelic host proclaim,
“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”

Refrain

Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”

Christ, by highest Heav’n adored;
Christ the everlasting Lord;
Late in time, behold Him come,
Offspring of a virgin’s womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
Hail th’incarnate Deity,
Pleased with us in flesh to dwell,
Jesus our Emmanuel.

Refrain

Hail the heav’nly Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Ris’n with healing in His wings.
Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die.
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.

Refrain

Come, Desire of nations, come,
Fix in us Thy humble home;
Rise, the woman’s conqu’ring Seed,
Bruise in us the serpent’s head.
Now display Thy saving power,
Ruined nature now restore;
Now in mystic union join
Thine to ours, and ours to Thine.

Refrain

Adam’s likeness, Lord, efface,
Stamp Thine image in its place:
Second Adam from above,
Reinstate us in Thy love.
Let us Thee, though lost, regain,
Thee, the Life, the inner man:
O, to all Thyself impart,
Formed in each believing heart.

Refrain
