A Voice Heard in Rama

 It's been a rough winter for many, and it's been rough for Pastor Jack and Kathy who are both dealing with health issues. Please be in prayer for both of them.

Christmas morning service at Faith

 Sunday is Christmas, and Faith celebrates the coming of Christ as an infant in Bethlehem.  Pastor Jack will read from Luke 2 and give the message Home for Christmas.

 Because of icy roads and dangerous travel, Faith is canceling its candles and carols service for Christmas Eve. 
 We still plan to hold a service Christmas morning.

Advent Four

 Faith Church observes the fourth week of Advent, and Pastor Jack will light the Candle of Righteousness. Sunday school begins with music and jam session at 9 a.m. and Bible study starts at 9:35. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. We'll have to wait and see what the message is this week. 

 After the service, members will meet to celebrate the 96th birthday of Donna Seaton. Refreshments will be served.

 The church is matching Harvest Festival donations that will go to Safe Harbor and the Salvation Army.

So, Let's Claim the Joy

 Sunday, Pastor Jack spoke on joy in a message called So...Let's Claim the Joy, and looked at passages from Matthew 11. The church lit the candle of joy on the Advent wreath. This week, Faith will light the fourth candle on the wreath, the candle of righteousness. The harvest festival is ongoing. Members give extra offerings that will go to Safe Harbor or the Salvation Army. The church will match donations that come in for Harvest.



After the service, we'll meet downstairs to celebrate the 96th birthday of Donna Seaton!

Gold, Circumstance and Mud

 This week, Faith observes the second week of Advent. Pastor Jack will give the message Gold, Circumstance and Mud during the worship service. The scripture is from Isaiah 11.

 A Time to Wait is the message this Sunday, the first Sunday in Advent. 

Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. with music; Bible time starts at 9:35 a.m.

Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. We will begin lighting the Advent wreath this week as we look at the message from Isaiah 9.

Harvest Festival runs throughout the Advent and Christmas seasons. The church will match offerings dedicated to the Harvest Festival, and funds received go to Safe Harbor and the Salvation Army.

All Life is Preparation

Cold outside, warm inside. 

Faith Church is a warm place to visit. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. with music, followed by Bible classes for kids and adults. Afterward is a coffee and fellowship time. We don't sell coffee; we share it.

Superintendent to visit.

 Superintendent Kris Mutzenberger will join us in the morning service and will give the message called Along the Way, on Luke 24, the road to Emmaus. Afterward will be a brief board meeting. 

Music jam starts at 9 a.m. Bible classes for kids and adults is at 9:30. Coffee and fellowship follow, and then comes the worship service.

Faith will join North Highlands United Methodist Church (620 15th Ave. NE) for a joint Thanksgiving service Tuesday, Nov.  22 at 7 p.m. We are asked to bring bars to share after the service.

In a few weeks, Faith will celebrate several member accomplishments. We will honor high school graduate Aiden Rieck, and college graduates Isaac Seaton and Joy Stevens. At the same time, we will celebrate with Ruth Eberhart who will have completed 100 years on this earth, turning 101 May 20. A potluck dinner will be after the service on May 15.

The Greatest Short Story
