Can Christmas Happen Today?
Advent continues with the candle of righteousness this week. Pastor Jack will read from Luke 2 and give a message called Can Christmas Happen Today? A coffee and fellowship time starts around 9 a.m., with Sunday school at 9:30. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
We'll be singing traditional Christmas carols: Angels from the Realms of Glory, Once in Royal David's City, Angels We Have Heard on High.
The Christmas Eve service on Tuesday begins at 5 p.m.

Not Advent yet but almost

Harvest Festival is in full swing. Faith church receives extra offerings to be given to the Salvation Army and Safe Harbor. The church will match offerings that come in marked "Harvest Festival" from now until Dec. 29.
Remember to take a free calendar to give to friends and family. Each day is marked with a scripture for the day to keep you in the Word the year round.

Sunday worship
Worship tomorrow is at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Pastor Jack will give the message God is With Us, Then and Always and will look at Isaiah 65.
There will not be adult Sunday school since Art will be gone this week.
Sunday school for kids is a little after 9 a.m.

Faith shares education wing with Schole group
Prairie Schole group is now using the education wing at Faith Church. This group is made up of about 17 families and 50 or so home-schooled kids that get together each Friday to share and learn.
Faith is happy to have a lively bunch of learners from all over Northeastern South Dakota meeting in its facilities.
Families from Redfield area, Eureka, Onaka, Columbia and Aberdeen, and probably other areas as well, take part.

Jack and Kathy back
Jack and Kathy should be back this Sunday, after a little vacation. It will be good to have them back.

Goodbyes and Good Times
Faith Church will be missing Jack and Kathy for a few weeks as they enjoy some well-deserved time off.
We also say a longer goodbye to our dear sister Evelyn Cooper who will be leaving the area for Rapid City. We will miss her, too!

Whose fault is it?
Faith Church continues in the season of Pentecost and this week looks at Psalm 137 during the worship service. Pastor Jack gives a message called Whose fault is it? The congregation will celebrate Holy Communion.

Warning and Promise
Sunday, Faith Church will hold services as usual, with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:30. After the service, we'll have a pot-or-no-pot potluck. That means you can bring something or not, but everyone is welcome to partake. Lee will be making pork barbecues, and Phyllis will be whipping up salads and goodies. ALL are welcome, so bring a friend.
Pastor Jack will be giving a message called Warning and Promise in the worship service, and he'll be looking at John 16.

To His Amazement, the Bear Dropped to his Knees
Sunday, Pastor Jack plans to be back in the pulpit after his successful back surgery, and we are sure glad about that. Last week, the church pulled together songs and Lectionary scriptures for a home grown service.
Sunday school will be at 9 a.m. with music for kids and adults. Lessons for kids and Bible study for adults is at 9:30 a.m.

Same Call but Different Now
Rain or shine, Faith Church will be open for worship this Sunday.
Sunday school starts with music for all at 9 a.m. Kids lessons and adult Bible study begin at 9:30.

Maundy Thursday service is at 7 p.m. Thursday. See below for details.
Faith Church celebrates Easter joyously at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in its worship service. We'll sing traditional, classic Easter hymns and hear a message from the Gospel of Mark called No Neat Little Package.
Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. with music, and
Bible study starts around 9:30 a.m.
Adults will be digging into Philippians 3 this week.
Between Sunday school and the worship service is a coffee and fellowship time.
All are welcome!

Maundy Thursday Service
Faith Church holds a Maundy Thursday service this week at 7 p.m. It will be a time of hymns, scripture, solemn reflection, prayer and communion. The service will be in the sanctuary. All are welcome to partake.
Narcotics Anonymous meeting takes place in the basement fellowship hall.
