Faith Church celebrates Christmas this week and next. This week, we are favored with a visit from Ron Parker who will lead us in song, prayer and scripture.
Ron is bringing his sons for some excellent music, and Michael gets to join them.
Sunday school starts with informal music at 9 a.m. Bible study begins around 9:35.
Next Sunday, Scott Yuille will speak on On Earth vs. In Earth. We'll light the third candle of Advent, the pink candle of JOY!
The Presbyterians have invited members to join them next Sunday (the 17th) after the service for a soup potluck and a Christmas escape room event.
On Christmas Eve, we'll light the Christ candle and share Christmas memories, carols and scriptures.
There will be no Christmas Eve candlelight service at Faith on Christmas, but members have been invited to join the Presbyterian Church at 5 p.m. for their candlelight service.
I meant to put this in the bulletin and didn't, but Art will be giving a talk on the rise of anti-Jewish sentiment in Nazi Germany Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. in Johnson Fine Arts Center, Room 181.

It's not a second potluck; it's a second retirement. We would have put "final retirement," but you just never know. In any case, Faith Church celebrates 15 wonderful years with Jack and Kathy and sadly says goodbye as they retire, giving up the long trek from Britton to Aberdeen.
Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. with Bible study starting at 9:35. Worship, and Jack's last message at Faith Church, is at 10:30.
Afterwards, join us in the fellowship hall downstairs for a potluck dinner. Pork loin will be provided and members bring everything else to share.

It will be bare bones tomorrow as Pastor Jack and many of our musicians are gone, but what we lack in numbers we'll make up for in, um, enthusiasm? On this fourth Sunday of Lent, weather finally allowed Pastor Jack and Kathy to travel from Britton, so we had a regular service! Pastor Jack gave the message from Ephesians 5: Wake From your Sleep, Children of Light in the morning service this week. Faith musicians sang a version of Hallelujah.

Post-service review: Despite the bad weather, many turned out for church and Art and Cindy managed to put together a service. The tripod was missing a part so there was to be no video, but then Tony stepped up to film the service which is HERE (click).

It was to have been Communion Sunday, but weather intervened and that will be another time. The message Sunday was from Genesis 12, called How to Be a Blessing.
