Advent is Here!

It's a new church year, and Faith Church will be celebrating the first week of Advent with candle-lighting and a message from Eldon Reich. Open Your Ears is the title of this Sunday's sermon.

Harvest Festival is ongoing. Each week, the church collects offerings for the Salvation Army and Safe Harbor and will match the funds that come in for this.

Our large sign blew down in a wind storm last week, and we'll be thinking of ways to replace it, but we are still open and celebrating the coming of Christ.

We are grateful for the family of Arlene Wiest who gave a memorial that will allow us to fix the lighted cross and replace the lights with LED bulbs. Arlene was a selfless servant of Christ and is much missed.

Time Change Sunday

Faith Church enjoyed a message on the Good Samaritan Sunday. Pastor Gary Compton spoke on the three attitudes in the parable: What's yours is mine (the thieves'); What's mine is mine (the priest's and Levite's); What's mine is yours (the Samaritan).

This week, Pastor Eldon Reich speaks on Jonah, and since it is All Saints Sunday, we will be remembering those from the congregation lost to death this year.

Don't forget to turn clocks back Saturday night since we're saying goodbye to Daylight Savings Time.

An after-church potluck will be happening on Sept. 29. Make sure to invite friends and family!

If you haven't seen the renovations in the education wing, you are in for a big surprise. It looks GREAT up there!
