And now for something a little different

Faith Church did something a little out of the ordinary this week. Rather than Pastor Jack and Kathy driving down from Britton, as they do each week, the church drove to their place.
Despite hot and humid weather, and a little rain during the service, members were comfortable and cool in the Erickson's air-conditioned garage. Lawn chair "pews" were arrayed on the slab floor and the service took place after all had arrived. The "pews" were packed and the garage full.

The praise band, using acoustic instruments, managed some hymns and a hearty rendition of "Put your hand in the hand." Pastor Jack spoke on the two sides of Psalm 89.

We all sang happy birthday to John Eilers who was able to come for the special service. The Ericksons graciously received guests into their beautiful home for a potluck meal after the service.

We won't soon forget this service and time of fellowship.
