Faith United Methodist Women
are holding their annual No-bake Sale starting this month.
Imagine not buying a bunch of sugar, flour, butter and baking soda. Imagine not digging out that bundt pan from far back in a barely-used cupboard.
Imagine not having to ruffle through the ol' recipe box for Aunt Thelma's award-winning potato cake recipe. Imagine not spattering batter all over the kitchen while you mix and sift and fold.
Imagine not heating up the kitchen to 350 degrees on a hot day. Imagine not having to use up the last of your plastic wrap for those golden, dry loaves.
Imagine not having to spend even more money buying someone else's cherry-walnut loaf from their Aunt Myrtle's award-winning recipe.
Now imagine this: cold children in far off places receiving blankets from World Service Blankets; hungry locals eating lunches at the Salvation Army, or hungry and disadvantaged kids getting lunches in backpacks so they aren't hungry at home; abused women finding shelter and loving help at Safe Harbor; down-and-out couples finding the Gospel in word and deed (with a measure of hope) at the Salvation Army; hungry kids around the world finding nutrition through Kids Against Hunger.
These are just some of the missions and causes that UMW supports each year, and YOU can have a hand in it, simply by NOT baking and instead contributing to the No-Bake Sale.
